Abstract

There is little information concerning the correlation between clinical and CT findings in chronic subdural hematoma . This study was performed on 69 hematoma patients to find correlations between CT findings and GCS. Ninety one percent of patients were male and 9℅ were female. The average age was 63. In 87℅ of cases, the lesions was unilateral and in the remaining 13℅ , it was bilateral. The results indicated that there  is a statistically significant correlation between GCS and sedimentation level ( p<0.0001) there was also significant reversed correlation between GCS and brain shift ( r=-0.3). The correlation between GCS and size of hematoma was shown to be very weak ( r=-0.13).
